The love of gardening, combined with a passion for watching crime flicks, inspired the name of a new home-based business.
Christy and Dave McCabe opened Lawn and Order — Special Clippings Unit in April 2018. The liking for crime shows,” by Christy and Dave being a perfectionist, ‘Lawn & Order: Special Victims Unit’ was the perfect name for our business,”
Both have been a part of the Elko County School District system. Dave an industrial arts instructor at Elko High School for 30 years along with being a golf and basketball coach for many years retired in 2019. Christy works at Northside Elementary in the administration office.
They both love gardening and, looking toward the future, decided they wanted to start a business they can pursue in retirement. “Dave likes mowing and I like flowerbeds and landscaping,” Christy said. Their own property has great curb appeal, thanks to their hard work. The lawn is manicured and the flowers and shrubs flourish.
The Lawn and Order Special Clippings Unit is accepting clients in Carlin, Spring Creek and Elko areas.
